This is to inform you that, as part of the Saturday Activity on 3rd October 2026, the school is organising a Storytelling Competition to enhance students’ public speaking skills, confidence and expression.

Suggested Themes:

• Fairy Tales

• Animal Tales

• Stories related to Festivals

Competition Guidelines:

• Time: 2–3 minutes per student (warning bell at 2 minutes; final bell at 3 minutes)

• Language: English

• Props: Small and simple props such as puppets, masks or cut-outs may be used, but are optional.

• Students should speak clearly, use appropriate voice modulation, facial expressions, gestures and body language, and conclude their story with a meaningful moral.

Judging Criteria – 20 Marks:

• Confidence & Introduction – 5

• Voice Modulation & Expression – 5

• Body Language & Actions – 5

• Clarity & Moral – 5

Special Titles:

Dear Parents/Students,

As part of tomorrow’s Saturday Activity on 3rd October 2026, a Storytelling Competition will be conducted. All students are required to come prepared with a story composed by themselves.

Please follow these guidelines:

1. Original Story: Each student must create and compose their own story. Copying or plagiarism from books, the internet, or any other source is not permitted.

2. Story Preparation: Class Teachers should guide students on how to develop a simple story with a clear beginning, middle and ending, along with suitable characters and a meaningful message.

3. Use of Props: Students should use suitable props while narrating their stories to make the presentation more interesting and effective. Props may be simple, creative and easily available.

4. Storytelling Style: Students should focus on clear narration, voice modulation, expressions, confidence and audience engagement while telling their story.

5. Selection of Winners: Based on the following criteria, Class Teachers will select the Top 3 students from each class/section:

- Originality and creativity of the story

- Effective and creative use of props

- Engaging storytelling and narration

- Expression, voice modulation and confidence

6. Recording of Results: The names of the First, Second and Third position holders must be recorded in the respective Personal Registers as the winners of the Storytelling Competition.
